National Debt and Federal Spending

One thought that goes through my mind when I hear people talking about spending money on foreign aid and foreign wars is that we are almost 28 trillion dollars in debt.

If we were to govern within our actual budget based on government revenue from taxes and fees, it would take care of many of our problems. We would get smaller government, and more efficient government. We are borrowing money and paying interest on that money to send to other countries. This makes no sense to me at all, as one day we will either have to pay that debt down or default. We are an insolvent economy.
