U.S. debt held by foreign countries is going down. The rest of the world is trying to abandon the dollar. Folks better get ready for some hard times

They are wising up. Agree with you on all fronts.

Great link and information. American Intelligence Media on Word Press covers all of this quite well too.

Thanks Bert, nice :-)

I'm not paying these debts, they are not mine.

When you look at those numbers, it boggles the mind. How can we elect such stupid people when it comes to fiscal reality?

Expand full comment

The debt is not able to be paid back, let go of it already.

We will go back to US Constitutional money.

I like that idea, perhaps gold and silver backed. What I think is going to happen is the central banks will forgive the excessive national debts out there if we agree to implement their world digital currency. This is just a wild guess on my part.

Expand full comment

The digital currency will be used as a weapon against anyone not following dictates. No one will be able to live like they used to under their dictates. The system will collapse as they will insanely cut off production. Gold will become money for the people who do things and the central banks will be CUT OUT OF THE DEAL.

Your mind is still in the grips of their magic spells, shake it off already.

Not saying I agree with them or their solution and like yours much better. I just think it wise to know your enemy, their methods, goals, and thinking processes. Like I say, these are just guesses on my part.

It all comes down to what the Supreme Court rules, and cases are already beginning, takes time, assuming there is a country enough to fix it.

I personally think this country will break down soon, into what there are too many variables to know, just what I think doesn't mean I'm right.

Our children and grandchildren are fiscally screwed.

Expand full comment

I suspect that is all by design. They are too young to realize it, and or too distracted to notice.

No. We must pave the way for a more realistic stable outlook.

I pray you are right...

Very interesting, but somehow not all that surprising, which is sad. The median income and median home price together speak volumes about the level of savage tyranny we are witnessing.

I have always made a practice of following the money, answer the question of who profits, and you find the bad guys real easy. It cuts thru all of their diversions and fuckery.

Our fascist administration has intentionally created one crisis after another while ignoring their previous decisions. Just this morning, the mainstream media has informed us that the impotent and powerless GOP has put forth a bill that would tie Brandon's hands and not allow him to further deplete the nation's emergency supply of oil and that the zombie moron puppet will certainly veto the bill. The nation's first Selected President has never been expected to answer for his insane decision to remove troops before evacuating our citizens and allies from Afghanistan. Hunter Biden's laptop computer, with its evidence of corruption by the Biden Crime Syndicate has been in the FBI's possession for years and there is no indication that Hunter will ever be tried for his crimes (much less the Big Guy). Hundreds of American patriots rot in DC jails as political prisoners and we have given billions to the Nazi government of Ukraine (which is recycled back to the Biden Crime Syndicate). The DOJ ignores the violent crimes of Antifa and BLM, while investigating and terrorizing innocent citizens. Brandon has, for the first time in history, determined that America will strike first in a nuclear war. Without divine intervention, we are not likely to see another presidential election.

There are often times I feel that divine intervention is our only way out of this. Perhaps it is happening right now as we share our concerns and possible solutions. Perhaps he is working thru those who feel the truth and speak out. I still have faith that it is not all lost. As Rick said it may just morph into something different than what we have now. Possibly better.

We howl like dogs caught in a trap. This morning I discovered I have been punished for something I posted on Twitter. I could get back on in twelve hours by sharing my telephone number with Twitter. I've decided not to bother. Just as many of us have become echo chambers on Substack, it is even worse on Twitter. Social media brings out the worst in us and reminds us of our helplessness. I read half a dozen Substack authors who say what I think. Yet, no one has any solutions or power.

I've given up.

Elon has more house cleaning to do, that is obvious. I had something posted with a warning attached. I have been at it for 12 years now and refuse to give in or up. Please do not lose hope, your voice is needed now more than ever.

Maybe I'll have a better attitude once my foot infection gets under control. I've got an appointment with the University of Tennessee Wound Care Clinic Monday.

(But I'm done with Twitter. It makes me too nasty.)

The university hospitals give good care. I was saved from being badly scarred from burns by an experimental treatment at the University of Missouri burn unit. I understand about Twitter, they gave me a strike the other day.

You bring back semi-sweet memories, Bert. In 1975 I accidentally was blown up and got married in Grand Rapids' Butterworth Hospital. Some mornings I'd pass my mother in the hallway as she got chemo and I was dumped in the Hubbard Tank to have skin cut off. Once all the skin was removed, I got married in the hospital's chapel. A friend loaned me a weird pair of pajamas that were tied on and didn't have to be slid over the bandages. My Demerol smile in the wedding pictures was worth plenty a laugh. I was allowed two beers a day and the nurses couldn't have been unaware that we were all smoking hash in the room (though a brother-in-law brought a squirrel cage blower to encourage the smoke to go out the window). On the night I got married, the nurses put a sign on my room's door that said, "Do Not Disturb: Honeymoon in Progress". I'll never forget watching the traffic out the window for six weeks. The pain never went away but the Demerol made it seem like a dream. Life is both rough and smooth.

Substack needs to update its options at the bottom of every post. Besides "Like", "Comment", and "Share", there should be an option to express Horror, Terror, or Illness-producing.

I have pursued a blend of paying attention to the hubbub, while withdrawing from much participation within it all.

Growing valuable skills not taught much anymore, getting my ducks in a row by putting "things" in their proper place - like air, water, food, health, shelter, and the maintenance required to keep it all flowing, while ditching the fictions that occupy most moderners' lives.

I maintain hope that some of us, at least, will persevere through this hellish landscape and Be The Wiser for our efforts, and will maintain a semblance of what may pass for a sane and righteous life, as a refuge for the poor misled masses to seek pertinent methods of living life with dignity, should they ever see to such.

Good observations, Bert and company.
