I am finding THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TOTALITARIANISM to be a fascinating and frightening book. I only wonder if Dr. Desmet felt he had to write it because Hannah Arendt's seminal work is more than 60 years old and people have forgotten about it.

That being said, literally every page of the book resonates with me.

I suppose I am an outlier among conservatives: I've debated for decades with my fundamentalist Christian brother about the benefits of suicide once life becomes too painful, humiliating, or intolerable. In the book FINAL EXIT, Derek Humphrey states that the best way to painlessly remove yourself from the world is by replacing oxygen with helium and putting your head in a plastic bag. Mattias envisions a totalitarian society that uses helium filled rooms to destroy its enemies. My only conclusion is that it beats Sarin Gas by a mile.

Some thought provoking comments you have shown here. As a generic Christian, suicide seems to me a reasonable approach once your quality of life is gone and you become a burden to others. That should be a personal decision and not a decision of our ruling elite/ masters of the universe. I doubt if God would disapprove of that decision.

"The only serious question in life is whether to kill yourself or not" - Albert Camus

Too many well-meaning Christians have told me that if the time comes that I cannot care for myself, my ass needs to be cleaned by a stranger, and I need to be fed with a tube, my courage will be a testimony to my love of Christ. Give me a break!

My brother, as most professing Christians, believes that self-murder is still murder and that our "loving father-god" will torment us for eternity if we make that choice. I think of Masada and of the thousands of Napoleon's troops who chose suicide over torture and dismemberment at the hands of their Muslim enemies.

If one feels that way, then do not put the guilt on someone else. We do not know for sure how things turn out after we die or what we will experience. We have faith and ideas but nobody knows first hand what happens, obviously.

In combat other rules may apply as circumstances dictate. One might be wise to fight to the death instead of becoming a prisoner, depending on the nature of the enemy. They will have dead friends and family that you will get blamed for killing.

It's only a conspiracy theory if people refuse to look at the evidence.

That's why many of us call the present situation a Plandemic, it was never about your good health, because TPTB never cared about human beings health to begin with. Many believe in the cult of Eugenics, I cannot recall anything about the cult that produced anything decent and moral. However, a Satanist idea of morality may of course be completely different than the average Human. Always the present Eugenics movement uses the term useless eaters, but I've always found that the reverse is true, it's usually the Eugenics movement that is full of these useless eaters, and truly offer nothing good for Humanity as a whole ever.

I like your take on the useless eaters. We all know what useless is, useless politicians who steal and cheat to enrich themselves while hurting the very people who pay their inflated wages, benefits, and pensions. Evil incarnate in my opinion.
