More control is what they desire along with more money. How much control and money is enough? Bad thing is that no amount of either is ever enough with these controllers.
Clear thinking here on your part. I just hope when their system does crash, that something simple does come from that collapse. Not some digital money system controlled by the banksters.
A most excellent link. I have read him before and he is still on it from an angle few think of.
My thoughts are that it makes no sense to attack the middle class and shrink it. The middle class is the wealth creating golden goose that made the elites rich. Governments create no wealth, just absorb it and redistribute it.
Yes Bert, agreed. They are attacking the middle class for the very reason we are the producers - they need to collapse the economies before a chaotic crash (like 2008), so they can implement a New World Order to match emerging Eurasia (where most of the resources are) and at least partially compete on terms that won't be favourable.
Our 1Bn v their 7Bn 'producers' is no real match - they know we have to live like paupers again while they take all the cream from a smaller pudding. I have no idea how it will work out (there are lots of scenarios) but by this time I will be somewhere in the southern hemisphere anyway - I can WFA.
Makes perfect sense for them. It sort of reminds me of something my Grandmother used to say, "be careful what you wish for, you might get it". They may not get what they bargained for in the end, especially when you plunge into uncharted waters without a map.
I am glad you have the means to get away, always good to have a plan B.
In my long life as a yachtsman, Bert, the only place to be safely self-sufficient is at sea in a well-found yacht. The basics of life are always freely available (wind, solar and tide), uncultivated healthy food is everywhere, fresh water falls from the sky and if not, then a trailing desalinator provides backup. Keeping it simple minimises maintenance and you are only ever 20 days from a safe harbour.
Aside from Pepin asserting that chickens are not sentient beings, which they are, the essence of this piece is excellent. This point sums it up perfectly:
"...even if only saints and angels ruled under a central planning regime, it would still be morally wrong and yield catastrophe.."
Using violence to achieve one's ends is morally wrong, even if the perpetrators claim "success."
Got the the chicken part then the system cut me off wanting me to sign in.
Consider the chickens are the smarter life forms corralling us humans into caring for them. Hahahaha!
I am sorry and did not realize they did that. Never underestimate a chicken, they have probably been around longer than we have.
Ha!
As a millionaire businessman replied to my question: "when is enough, enough?" - he said: "it is never enough". Sort of tells the story, Bert.
BTW - central planning has always failed as history shows - like all complex adaptive systems, like piles of sand, there is always a tipping point (a phase transition) and collapse into a less complex system: https://austrianpeter.substack.com/p/back-to-basics-complex-systems-can?sd=pf

Fear not Bert - collapses of this kind never emerge to be more complex. CHS is a specialist in systems and IMHO a mine of wisdom in this regard:

Oops, wrong link - that one is a typical port! Here's the yacht: https://internationalliving.com/sailing-in-caribbean-belize/

It beats living on land hands down and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is fulfilled.

Thank you for the spot on commentary. Thinkspot has some good writers, much better than me.
Nah, you're a plenty good writer!
😊
Total control is what TPTB want, with that comes everything they desire.
I believe this to be true. Sad to think of such a terrible concept as a goal.
