Kansas City, Mo. metro area. It would be a stretch. The time is here for us to band together on a local basis and help each other as needed. Our little enclave is already doing that. We share and help each other out.
When I was playing hockey (1972 - 75), I took boxing lessons from a Golden Gloves champ in order to improve my game. I started learning karate at 39, attended half a dozen schools, then got into Wushu before my shoulders fell apart. It was fun while I lasted.
Boxing skills come in handy in Hockey. I did various schools of martial arts starting at 22, later took boxing and did some full contact competition. Stopped around 30 when I entered the corporate arena, it was harder than the ring and less rewarding.
My first karate teacher never got tired of telling me: "I went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out".
I was the smallest guy in the Fisher Body Hockey League, and as a defenseman, I felt it might be smart to know how to fight. I never did have to. Just once, another player and I faced off and the ref quickly put a stop to it.
Where do you live, Bert? The time may come when like-minded patriots have to band together for protection.
I'm in Sevierville, TN.

You are SPARTACUS.
You are too kind, but I thank you just the same. Saw on you Twitter profile that we share a love for the martial arts. I admire that.
