What Is Putin's End Game?
Motives are unclear
Putin seems to have missed an opportunity to disengage from the war. Does he want the territory, the rare earth minerals, or control? Maybe all of the above or none. Who knows what he is up to, or perhaps he is being controlled?
Russia is already one of the biggest land masses in the world. So the territorial concept seems illogical.
He does not seem too upset with all of the death and destruction, and his dependence on foreign troops and weapons to continue this war. His economy is being harmed, and it has to be hurting the quality of life for Russians. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
He has to justify this war and the casualties and cost to the population. I think he’s stuck in a hard place.
It's always difficult to discern the motives of leaders because they are not in control Bert.
